It all started when pandemic begun.
Second quarter of this this year, I decided to shift into freelancing. It was my best friend who introduced me to try this line of career. Since I’m pregnant that time, all I think of is “how to be a hands-on mom to my future first born while working? and how I will attend to his needs while working and earning? These questions pushed me to enter the freelancing world.

So What is a Freelancer?
A freelancer is a self-employed person who offers services, often working on several jobs for multiple clients at one time. They usually earn money on a per-job basis, charging hourly or daily rates for their work and it usually a short-term contract.

What Do I need to Start Freelancing?
Since I am new to this line of career, I read, read and read a lot about it. I assessed myself on the skills and task I can do. I attended free webinars to equip myself with the skills I need and the skill needed by my future clients. I even enrolled to an online course to gain intensive knowledge about it and to build my profile and portfolios. Aside from this, here are also other things to keep in mind:
1. Set your goals
2. Assess yourself and find your niche
3. Focus and identify your target clients
4. Set reasonable prices for your services
5. Sign-up to different freelancing websites (Upwork, Onlinejobsph.. etc)
6. Build an eye-catchy portfolio website
7. Sign-up to different freelancing websites
8. Show samples of what you can deliver
9. Mention potential clients in your content
10. Learn how to build yourself
11. Don’t mix your day job priorities with freelance business,
12. And most of all, be patient. Sometime it will takes time to get your first client.
